Cowbridge 37 - CRIC 5.
Match Report: (included on the News Page due to a technical problem!) : The Cowbridge forwards started strongly, securing a steady stream of quality ball for the backs. It did not take long for the first try to come thanks to centre Max Cunnington who powered his way over the line. Although the CRIC forwards competed well, as the game continued, so did the scores with the speedy Harrison Ashby getting 2 tries, one of which was a solo effort from within his own half. Further tries for the elusive Evan Williams and ever reliable, Rhys Bradshaw, with one converted by Evan Williams, took the half time score to 27-0. The second half opened with a more determined CRIC achieving some effective counter rucking. Their efforts were rewarded with good forward drive resulting in a try. The second half was more evenly contested with the opposition putting in some fine tackles. It was the Cowbridge forwards however, who had the last say with the ball finding the hands of second row, Cameron Roy on the 22m line. He made good ground and was well supported by Angus James who drew defenders before passing to Jac Roberts who tackled into touch a meter from the line. The resulting defensive line-out saw the Cowbridge forwards pressurising the CRIC half-backs and prop, Dan Marshall, ripped the ball from an opponent to score. A further, well worked try by Morgan Gore brought the game to a close at 37 – 5. Congratulations boys on the victories in both games against CRIC, the second by a 14 - 0 margin with tries by Luc Beatey and Harrison Ashby with conversions by Rhys Bradshaw and Morgan Gore. Thanks are extended to the players of CRIC for an entertaining game played in good spirit. Thanks also to the CRIC coaches and parents, and of course “the Cowbridge M”.

Tondu v Cowbridge Match Report
The match report has been included on the website.
Although missing a few key players and with some forwards taking on positions in the back-line for the first time, the overall team performance was disappointing at Tondu. There were, however, some good individual performances.
The Best of the Backs Award should go to Harrison Ashby who made some strong runs and was always looking to get involved in the action, particularly with some impressive tackles.
The Pick of the Pack Award has to go to Jac Roberts who put in a Captain’s performance; leading by example with his great overall work-rate, strong tackling and two great runs, one of which resulted in a well earned try.
Congratulation also to Sam Bluck who scored a much needed opening try while playing his first game at full-back.
